Gumkowska, although an economist by education, has always been interested in art. She has been honing her painting technique through numerous courses, knowledge gained from books and the Internet. Currently, she spends every free moment in her studio. She prefers oil paints, large sub-paintings, sometimes an elaborate, age-old board. In the creative process, she uses the techniques of old masters' painting and gilding, taken from the process of creating sacred art. Currently, she is fascinated by solids, geometric shapes and figures, from which she can organize space and make it more harmonious. She creates surreal images of people and animals, depicted with spatial figures, which are reflected in her perception of an ordered reality.
