oil pastel on canvas, 73 x 54 cm, signed lower right: '[artist's monogram]' and inscribed on the reverse: 'Peacock butterfly | Tatiana Yeftymovska'
When she was little, drawing seemed to be as natural a skill as laughing, walking, reading, or riding a bike. It just is. She was born into a creative family; her mother, a graduate of Moscow State University, taught her to draw. During her school years, she spent practically all her free time in her mother’s studio or with her on plein air painting trips. She has worked as a designer for almost her entire adult life, which is often evident in her paintings. In her art, she embraces understatement, mystery, dreams, imagination, and humor. A woman of the world. In addition to painting and design, she is a professional photographer, a participant in numerous exhibitions, and a winner of competitions not only in Poland and Ukraine but also internationally. She is the author of a book on newspaper design.
