The Battle of Warsaw was, once again, merely the culmination of that universal will to fight for freedom, which for 150 years has turned against every invader.

Whoever weakens this will to fight for freedom, whoever exaggerates or laments the sacrifices made in that struggle, does not understand its inseparable connection to the nation’s existence, its interests, and its honor.

This will allow us to replenish the ranks of those magnificent young people who marked the history of Poland with their blood in the years 1939–1945, and who earned immortal fame in the Warsaw Uprising.
