Bartek Buczek is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland. He obtained his diploma in the atelier of Andrzej Tobis. He practices painting and creates installations. Privately, he is a fan of cycling, hip hop and literature. At the same time, he assembles exhibitions for cultural institutions, thanks to which he views the art world from multiple perspectives: artist, curator, editor and viewer. The artist creates monochromatic compositions freely using conceptual ideas. In his artistic activities he refers both to his own interests (exhibition "Cyclists" - Rondo Sztuki 2019), pop culture (exhibition "Black Character" - Project Room, CCA Ujazdowski Castle, 2013) or art history, which he often deals with in his professional work as an exhibition editor. The latter's inspiration is shown in the painting "Petroglyph," a drawing or inscription on a rock dating back to prehistoric times. He describes himself as a "realist tired of reality."
