Wladyslaw Hempel (1871-1944) - Warsaw goldsmith and pupil of Antoni Riedl. In 1904, he received the craftsman's title of master goldsmith. Shortly thereafter, with the cooperation of his brother Stefan, he established a silver and plater factory in Warsaw. Their business focused mainly on table silver and plating. Thanks to the rapid growth of the company, located on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, the brothers' work resulted in the establishment of the Platery and Silverware Factory located on the corner of Leszna and Wronia Streets. As a result of events occurring during World War II, the factory was destroyed, while the business itself was terminated.
