Leszek Zegalski (b. 1959), Marlboro Don Quixote - contemporary version, 1991

Studied graphic design and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice under Jerzy Duda-Gracz and from 1982 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he received his diploma 2 years later. In 1988 he was awarded the Grand Prix of the National Exhibition of Young Visual Arts "Arsenal 88". The artist in the same year went to Germany for several years, where he devoted himself to intensive artistic work. There he became a member of the Association of Realist Painters, and since 2009 - of the Apelles group. The artist took part in the Basel Art Fair, Barcelona, among others, and had about 200 solo exhibitions. He also showed his works together with the "Excessive Tercet", which he created with Janusz Szpyt and Piotr Naliwajko, as well as at foreign exhibitions in Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Russia, Canada, Japan, among others. Zegalski does plafond and easel painting, as well as fresco painting.
