Aleksander DĘTKOŚ (born 1939, Gorlice)
Graduate of the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zakopane (1955-1960) and the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Department of Sculpture and Ceramics in the studio of Prof. Stanisław Horno-Popławski (1960-1966). At the same time, he also completed a pedagogical study. From 1966-1969 he worked as a visual artist-educator in special education on the Coast.
He won numerous prizes and awards in sculpture competitions. His name can be found in the English edition of the biography of contemporary artists, published in Lausanne entitled: Who is Who. Since 1999 he has been a member of the Accademia Internazionale - Greci Marino - Italia, with the title of member of the Academy of Art. Since the 1970s, he has lived in Bydgoszcz in the Miedzyń district.
