Wieslaw KWAK
Born in 1963 in Sucha Beskidzka.
Graduated from the A. Kenar State High School of Fine Arts in Zakopane (1978-1983).
From 1983-1988 he studied at the Department of Sculpture at the State Higher School of Fine Arts
(Academy of Fine Arts) in Gdańsk. He received his diploma with honors in the studio of Prof. Franciszek Duszeńka in 1988.
In 1989- 1990, he completed an internship in the sculpture studio of Prof. Jean Cardot at Ecole Nationale Superieure
des Beaux Arts in Paris.
He creates works in the fields of painting, sculpture, drawing and graphics.
He has presented his works at many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad.
He bases his work on the study of form in combination with line
"pictura linearis." The subject of his works is man and his emotions.
He often creates sculpture series such as: "Metamorphoses"; "Balance"; "Artmaster".
Curator of exhibitions, participant in open-air events, he has numerous sculptural realizations in urban spaces,
and his works are in private collections at home and abroad.
