In a rare manner, the group is depicted with the individual animals separately. A wild boar is being attacked by three hunting dogs. One of the dogs is already on the boar's back, the other two are shown in an attacking stance and can be placed on the separately made brass plinth in a variety of positions. The animals in black patinated bronze. The almost square base is gilt, with recessed longitudinal fields on three sides, with foliate band ornamentation, above a strong pearl bar on a fillet; the back is smooth.
One foot of a dog missing (not obvious). (1351231) (11)
