This is one of the works in the sculpture series Affection / Attachment, which deals with the subject of human relationships in an abstract way. The sculpture consists of 3 elements, remaining in physical and emotional tension with each other. The soft, biomorphic form is an abstract yet very corporeal entity. The main, dark body with an undulating, organic silhouette in slight motion, is set on a base that seems to adjust to its shape and weight. Toward the top it forks to form an openwork, gently lifting the lighter, small element - as if in a gesture of subtle contact, a gesture of tenderness, or perhaps the small element is trying to free itself from oppression, to disengage. This we do not know, the interpretation remains with the viewer. The form evokes associations with intimacy, care, but also tension and uncertainty.
