Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts (graduated in 1971). Associated with his alma mater as a lecturer and, for several terms, its rector. One of the most outstanding Polish sculptors, representing the figurative trend. Creator of monumental and outdoor sculptures, as well as intimate compositions. The leitmotif of Adam Myjak's work is the human figure. Synthetically captured heads, busts and figures are often characterized by expressive deformation. Myjak creates in various materials: stucco, stone, concrete, bronze or wood. Important for the artist is the surface of the sculptures - working out their "skin", he renders "tensions".
