Sophie KONER
1855 London - 1929 Berlin
German painter. She studied in Paris with Carolus-Duran and later in Berlin with Max Koner, whom she married in 1886. She exhibited regularly in Berlin from 1888 and specialized in portraits, especially of children. She received prestigious commissions, including from the imperial family. Less frequently, she created landscapes and still lifes.
