Painter associated with the Lubuska Land. Colorist gifted with a fine sense of the relationship between colors which is the basis for his post-impressionist works. In 1890 he took up his studies in Berlin, leaving for a year in Italy. In Venice, he was inspired by the art of Tiepolo. He gained recognition with a landscape shown at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1900. He painted decorative works and architectural objects, still lifes, floral motifs, landscapes, portraits, salon or genre scenes. A great chapter in Blanke's oeuvre are his depictions of the immediate area, forming a kind of iconographic chronicle of the region. In 2016, he had a monographic exhibition at the Museum of Lubuska Land in Zielona Gora.
