Stanislaw Zawadzki (Warsaw 1878 - 1960 Warsaw) - Polish painter and graphic artist. He began his painting education with Wojciech Gerson at the Warsaw Drawing School. In 1899-1900 he was a pupil of Jacek Malczewski at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1900-1903 he supplemented his studies with Otto Seitz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and then in Paris. He was associated with the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, where he held numerous administrative positions, including vice-president. He exhibited there many times, including solo exhibitions in 1919, 1923, 1934, 1939. He was mainly a portrait painter. He painted mainly images of women, framed against lavish interiors and nudes, as well as genre compositions and landscapes, using oil and watercolor techniques. He also practiced printmaking - especially lithography and etching.
