Biography
Marian Stroński studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków until 1913, in the studio of Prof. Teodor Axentowicz. He then continued his studies at the Academy in Vienna in the studio of Prof. Kazimierz Pochwalski. During the interwar period, he held solo exhibitions in Przemyśl, Warsaw, Lviv, Łódź, and Katowice. In 1928, he left for Paris, where he began studying mural painting and conservation under the guidance of Parian. After 1936, he moved permanently to Warsaw. At the start of World War II, his Warsaw studio was destroyed. After the war ended, he settled permanently in Przemyśl. He painted portraits, genre scenes, and landscapes, often featuring motifs from the Eastern Borderlands.
