Aleksander Laszenko (Annówka 1883 - 1944 Włocławek) - Polish painter, traveler, co-founder of the Association of Kuyavian Artists. In 1901-1904 he studied painting at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. In 1904 he graduated from the Constantinov School of Artillery in St. Petersburg. He was one of the few Polish painters who dealt almost exclusively with exotic subjects. The fruits of his travels to Africa and the Middle East were paintings depicting scenes from the lives of natives, exotic animals, nature and the architecture of old cities. His works were repeatedly shown in exhibitions in Poland (including at the Municipal Art Gallery in Lodz) and abroad.
