An unassuming but exceptionally rare coin.
A variant of the 1547 half-grosz—with the reverse legend ending in LITV—not listed in the latest edition of the Ivanauskas-Cesnulis catalog.
All coins described for this year in that catalog end with “LITVA” (with or without a bar). This is also confirmed by our archives, where we have only had this variety twice in our history (sold for 5,192 PLN in 2022 and 3,540 PLN in 2021).
This specimen is the most beautiful of them all, as confirmed by the MS grade from NGC.
