A coin bearing the mark of the Wrocław mint (letter B, for Breslau), attributed in some mint literature to the Kłodzko mint (letter G, for Glatz).
The confusion regarding the issuer in this case stems from the military campaigns of Napoleon’s forces against Prussia, which reached Wrocław in the early 19th century. Due to the siege, some of the staff and equipment of the Wrocław mint were to be evacuated to Kłodzko; however, the mint in Wrocław remained operational from 1807 to 1809.
A thaler rarely seen at auctions in Poland.
Silver, diameter 35 mm, weight 22.2 g.
