A beautifully preserved piece in intense red color; appreciated by PCGS with the second highest note in the register; a rare and sought-after proof coin of the Second Republic period, minted in an edition of 100 pieces; the sample 10-zloty coin designed by Antoni Madeyski took second place in the competition for the first Polish gold coin, which was organized in 1925; the design chosen at the time was the 10 zloty with Bolesław Chrobry, whose author was Zofia Trzcińska Kamińska, also known for her authorship of the stamps for the 10 zloty with the image of Romuald Traugutt; the coin with the image of the workers remained known only as a sample, struck in three metals: bronze, silver and gold.
