Monika Szufladowicz (b. 1988, Warsaw), "Lost Frequencies," 2017

Biography
Graduate of the Warsaw School of Photography, currently a student of photography at the Film School in Lodz. Her adventure with the image as a means of expression began with painting and drawing (she passed to London to study architecture, which, however, she abandoned in favor of photography). A very strong influence of painting can be observed in her works - this manifests itself, among other things, in the choice of subjects, the way of framing and the choice of colors, but above all by the kind of sensitivity captured in photography. In her work, the artist creates images that are multi-level - they do not have only one simple meaning, but create a kind of multi-layered structure in which we can find references to literature, symbolism, or even human nature. In addition to conceptual photography, she is interested in photojournalism and artistic photography - seeking new ways of expression often combining different fields of art.
