August III on horseback with a sword, facing right.
On the rim, an inscription divided at the top by a rosette: D G FRID AUG R P D S AM & EL IN PROV IUR SAX PROVISOR ET VICARIUS
Reverse:
A crowned eagle with a crowned coat-of-arms shield on its breast and a sword in its talon.
On the half-circle, an inscription: DECUS PRÆSIDIUM
In the section, an inscription: PROVISOR IMPERII / ITERUM / MDCCXLV

Condition: NGC AU55
Minor imperfections in the background, but a beautifully struck and well-preserved piece. Three-dimensional relief. Beautiful detail. Brilliance and plenty of mint luster. High NGC grade. This is the very piece that received the highest NGC grade of AU55, and it is the only piece with this grade. A beautiful and impressive coin.
