Painter, student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of Luszczkiewicz from 1861 to 1872. After receiving a scholarship, he continued his studies at the Vienna Academy until 1877. He exhibited frequently at the Kraków and Lviv TPSP, and in Dresden. He mastered the oil technique brilliantly. He was most fond of painting landscapes near Krakow, genre and battle scenes, and was particularly fond of the horse motif.
