Biography
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1963, in the studio of E. Krcha. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (since 1992 - rector). He painted oil paintings, watercolors, gouaches, pastels; he dealt with religious themes, mainly passion. He was also involved in art criticism, published in "Tygodnik Powszechny", and in 1999 his book "Art for Everyday and Holiday" came out. He also produced sculptural works: the "Pieta" series. In 1985 he was the recipient of the Warsaw Archdiocese Prize, in 1988 of the New York-based A. Jurzykowski Foundation, and in 1995 his works were exhibited at the Kordegarda Gallery in Warsaw.
