EDYTA OLSZEWSKA is a painter and creator of objects. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She paints and creates objects that are a combination of baroque tenebrism and glamour and elements taken from pop culture. In her works she often refers to Christian iconography and related symbols. The themes present in Olszewska's works are taken from the symbolism of the Passion of Christ and set in the space of the sacrum and other areas of culture and religion. They are reminiscent of oneiric visions, especially clear when combined with contemporary female portraits, often present in the artist's paintings. In the work of Edyta Olszewska one can also find paintings touching on these two extreme worlds, which are included in the definition of the word , "Passion". Olszewska's paintings show a multiplicity and multiplicity of contexts drawn from religious iconography and embedded in the best tradition of European Baroque painting, filtered through contemporary sensitivity. In 2023, the artist's first solo exhibition was held with the title "Heat" at Art Agenda Nova in Krakow. In 2025, the artist participated in the exhibitions "Don't be afraid of shadows" Art Agenda Nova, Krakow and "Y", TPSP Palace of Art, Krakow.
