Mariusz Łukasik - was born in 1953 in Warsaw. In 1973-78 he studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Among the artist's prizes won, the Main Prize at the International Drawing Competition in Nuremberg should be mentioned.
Between 1983 and 1984 he received a scholarship from the Dutch government, and the following year studied at the Rijksakademie Van Kunsten in Amsterdam.
He participated in the Venice Biennale (Aperto 84). He is a well-known and talented draughtsman, printmaker and painter.
Mariusz Lukasik's exhibitions have been held many times in Poland and in many cultural centers in Europe, including: in Berlin, Nuremberg, Paris, Amsterdam. Mariusz Lukasik is a versatile artist, not limiting himself to one convention or technique. He feels good both in the field of non-representational art and drawing. Mariusz Lukasik's drawing is mastered to perfection, as evidenced by the 1st Prize for the best draughtsman of the city of Nuremberg.
The artist works in parallel in various cycles - including Toys, Borads, Wooden Palaces, Wisbaden, Existentia Fluxa, Departure, People Birds or Objects.
