Malenaemphasizes the significantinfluence of her GrandmotherIka, whowas acolorist, astudent ofJan Cybis,also aSopotresident,agraduateofthe StateHigherSchool of Fine Arts inGdansk,basedin Sopot at24ObrońcówWesterplatteStreet(transformed into the Academy ofFine ArtsinGdanskafter 1954). Since early childhood, Malenastayedin her Grandmother's studio,absorbingthe spirit of painting in its pureform. The artist paints oil and acrylic paintings oncanvas, and pursues her projects inwall painting.Paintings arein collections inItaly, France in Germany, Scandinavia, Nepal, the UnitedStates, among others.
She isthe author of the murals"Origami Seagulls" in Sopot and "Harbor Boy" inGdansk, as well as "Origami Boats" in Warsaw, and hascompletedher projectspersonally. The Sopot muralis locatedonthe wall of a tenement in the center of Sopot, on Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street.
