Leezie Kiambi is a Kenyan multimedia artist living in Nairobi. She studied fine arts and design and has been working in the art industry for five years. She underwent training at Black Rhino Virtual Reality, learning about virtual reality technology and how to paint using software to create artwork; Leezie Kiambi mostly uses Tilt Brush and Quill tools in her work.
Her virtual creations are mainly influenced by human emotions, as the artist is convinced that the physical face is more than mere physical appearance, and tries to depict the inner person and soul so that the real self and emotions merge and intermingle. With the belief that art is meant to comfort those broken by life, she tries to touch the soul of the depicted character in the works she creates.
Sometimes colors can be her joy and obsession, but they can also become her greatest anguish, because she knows very well that through colors, shapes and textures one can say things that are unspeakable in any other way: these are things for which there are no words. Her current artistic style is cubism and expressionism, which she expresses on surfaces such as canvas and unconventional surfaces.
