Biography
Painter, performer, author of theoretical and literary texts, and plays. In 1981, he received his diplomas from the painting studio of Prof. Jan Tarasin and the sculpture studio of Prof. Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The artist’s specific areas of research within the medium of painting include structuralist studies and color theory. This has served him in his further work on the effects of concavity and convexity in the image, as well as in developing a model of refracted colors and the principles of reverse perspective. In 2016, he published an experimental novel titled *Kula*. Wyżykowski’s work exemplifies a methodical approach grounded in art theory.
