Edward WIECZOREK (1901-1988)
Cracow landscape painter. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studio of W. Weiss, whose paintings had a significant influence on the style of the young artist. He exhibited many times at TPSP in Cracow and Warsaw's "Zachęta". He worked mainly in oil technique. He painted landscapes in an expressive way, with numerous impastos and a rich range of colors, irregular color patches definitely dominated over drawing.
