Agata SOBCZYK
Studied at the graphic arts department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, branch in Katowice. She received her diploma in 2000 in the studio of Prof. Marian Oslislo and Prof. Roman Nowotarski. The paintings and graphics she creates are notes from her travels, colors, the mood of the moment, rhythm, some characteristic object, a passing person, inscriptions on walls, signs, a fragment of an overheard conversation. She is fascinated by both wild nature undestroyed by man, urban landscape and industrial landscape, skeletons of halls, rusted, abandoned barges, fragments of machinery.
