Dariusz Milinski - born in 1957 in Cieplice. He is a visual artist by profession. In 1980 he was authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Art. The artist has participated in more than 200 exhibitions, but his work is not limited to painting. He founded the Plawna 9 art group, in which he acts as a director, actor and poet. The fairy-tale world of his paintings, always painted in warm, muted colors, visually resembles the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch and Peter Brueghl. However, Milinski gives them an unexpectedly friendly mood. His paintings are mainly portraits of people, kept in a quasi-realistic style, partly fairy-tale-like, set in a rural landscape.
He is the author of posters for the films Edi and My Nikifor. Creator of the Castle of Silesian Legends, Noah's Ark, Museum of Displaced Persons. A tireless animator of culture. About the artist was created, among others, a documentary film by Andrzej B. Czulda's "Pinning in the Moon." His works are in private and state collections at home and abroad.
He lives in the village of Plawna Dolna, where he has a studio.
