2018
Mariola Swigulska -studied painting ona scholarship in Vienna. She paints landscapes, as well as abstract and surrealist paintings. She often reaches for large formats, exceeding 2 meters in length. Her expressive paintings have their origins in the natural world - the artist reproduces plant details. A frequent procedure is to scale small floral elements to huge sizes, taking them out of their context and putting them into a new one. The painter is interested in combining art with architecture, creating a space in which she seeks a place for art.
