Bartos Saro's abstract expressionism focuses on the structure of materials. Using them, he encapsulates the movement and dynamism of forms in his paintings. Bartos loves to create tension and drama because he believes there is spirit in matter - shapes and forms can reflect the underlying experience of emotion. The colors in each painting form a closed range, a unique juxtaposition discovered by the artist.
The landscape in Bartos' work is only a pretext for building the composition of the painting. The painting consists of rhythmic forms, stripes and irregular duplicated planes. In this way, it carries the emotional tensions that characterize Abstract Expressionism. Despite references to landscapes, the paintings are fully abstract. Suggestions of the horizon, rhythmic divisions referring to fields are only a pretext for recording impressions and emotions.
