A decoration in the shape of a Maltese cross; the obverse features the eagle of the Polish Armed Forces, and the reverse bears the inscription “Polish Armed Forces in the West.” The cross is worn on a ribbon with vertical stripes of white, amaranth, blue, black, and green. The cross was designed by Edward Gorol and minted at the State Mint. It was awarded to soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces in the West who participated in combat operations during World War II, from 1939 to 1945.
