Polish anti-aircraft defense and fire department helmet, model 1935.
Nickel-plated steel shell. Dark leather lining, added later as a replacement. Light-colored leather inner pad. Two straps torn off. Attached beneath it are three white fabric pads with soft padding. An additional leather strap is attached to the rim of the liner to protect the head from impact. Characteristic of helmets used by the fire department. On the inside of the helmet’s rim is a plaque reading: LUDWIKÓW KIELCE 1938
