Zygmunt ROZWADOWSKI ( 1870–1950)
Painter associated with the Lviv art scene, one of the creators of the panoramas "The Battle of the Pyramids" and "Racławice." He studied under Matejko at the Kraków School of Fine Arts (1883–1891) and at the Munich Academy. From 1910 to 1920, he was a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Lviv. In his Lviv apartment on Jabłonowskich Street, he gave private drawing and painting lessons during the interwar period. His favorite subjects included battle scenes; he also painted genre scenes, landscapes, and portraits. He died on July 23, 1950, in Zakopane.
