During World War II he was associated with Tadeusz Kantor's theater in Cracow. Between 1945 and 1946, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and then in Paris. In 1947, he participated in the Surrealist International Exhibition in Paris. A member of the Phases group, in whose exhibitions he participated in France and Europe. Thanks to him, in the 1950s and 1960s, the tendencies of European art penetrated into domestic artists. In 2005-2006, a monographic exhibition of Kujawski's works was held at the National Museum in Poznan and the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw.

The work is characteristic of the artist's work of this period, a dynamic composition maintained in the Tashist style, bringing to mind cosmic landscapes. The chaos of lines is juxtaposed here with the textural richness of abstract matter.
