I am an architect by profession, and I think this provides the perfect background for my development as an abstract artist. I know how to work with space, light and composition. My current direction in art is based on the feelings an image evokes, and the final result often comes down to deciding whether I like what I've created or not yet. The aesthetic aspect of art is important to me. I am aware that nowadays, when conceptual art reigns supreme and traditional works based on aesthetics can be considered not valuable, this is quite a bold view. However, with my art I try to bring joy and energy to the space and positively influence the viewers of my art. This does not mean that my paintings do not have a deeper meaning. They were all inspired by specific thoughts, emotions or events that are important to me, but I simply want the meaning to be treated more universally by viewers. I allow the viewer, through their personal interaction with colors, textures and forms, to create their own story for a given image and allow them to form a deep and individual bond with it.
