Aleksandra Szelągowska: I live and paint near the Przemkowskie Ponds Reserve. Here I have my studio in a forest house. In my paintings I often depict women free in spirit. I am inspired by travel. I love the retro atmosphere. My paintings include travel memories, snapshots of real life, projections of various situations, mirages of daydreams and reality. When I paint I am transported to another world. I like changes and travel that create a metamorphosis in me.

Evaluators of Alexandra's work say that her painting world attracts with its linear and colorful figuration. The created figures create a phenomenal theater of events, observations, poetic and visual sequences, open to an unusual "imaginary moment" during the creation of the painting.
