He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków from 1919 to 1925 under the guidance of Teodor Axentowicz, Stanisław Kamocki, and Ignacy Pieńkowski. He then lived and worked in Paris, where his first solo exhibition took place in 1931 at Leopold Zborowski’s gallery. He was a member of the “Zwornik” Association of Visual Artists, which brought together colorist artists. He painted landscapes, genre scenes, portraits, and still lifes. His works were often inspired by Polish folklore. After the war, he taught at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.
