A collection of ten elegies by R.M. Rilke. The author was an Austrian poet of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a representative of Symbolist poetry and a precursor of existentialism. In his poems, the poet frequently expresses the existential anxieties of modern man and often explores the tragic intertwining of love and death. The Duino Elegies, written over a period of more than 10 years, are today considered among the greatest masterpieces of modern poetry.
