Pawłowska Krystyna - Kolekcja medalików i krzyżyków Władysława Bartynowskiego, Kraków 2023, ISBN 9788381388085
178 pages, soft cover with wings and embossed medallions, a richly illustrated catalog of Władysław Bartynowski's hitherto unpublished collection of devotional objects. The main content of the book is a catalog including photographs and descriptions of all objects, including medallions associated with great revelations, as well as with shrines and places of pilgrimage. These include medallions from Poland and many European countries, and even one medal from China. Comprehensive analysis of the content and form of the collection concerns: the state of research, dating of the collection, form, content, size and technical characteristics of the medals, including alloy composition - the results of the spectrograph. Of particular interest may be the identification of iconographic sources of the images depicted on the medallions, i.e. paintings, sculptures and objects of sacred architecture. In addition, the book includes a brief presentation of two other collections from the family archive: secular and religious medals and an album of bartynotypes with similar themes.
