Warsaw 1923 Interesting Books. Library of Selected Works. 13x18 cm, pp. 137, softcover. Good condition (ownership signatures).
Second edition. Cover signed ZG. A collection of columns - letters - by the author from Sopot, Gdynia, Zakopane and Lviv, among other places, exemplify the lighter, feature-length work of Makuszynski, who enjoyed great popularity as a columnist and humorist between the wars. The book, although less well-known than his novels for young people(Satan of the Seventh Grade, Awantura o Basię), shows the author'sversatility and talent for brilliant observation of reality.
