She says of her work: “I am interested in the relationship between humans and nature. In my work, I focus on the atavistic needs of contemporary humans for contact with nature and community.
I explore the realms of human desires and emotions associated with the loss of these relationships and the longing for them.
I am interested in contemporary humans becoming aware that they are biological beings, that they are part of nature—with which they have lost contact and whose existence they have forgotten.
I am far from constructing instructions or depicting everyday life. I am interested in the process of self-awareness and the associated emotions, needs, longings, and fears.
I strive to depict these in my works.
