Andrzej ROHACKI (1929-2012)
Zakopane sculptor, ceramicist, creator of fancy furniture (often with clever storage compartments), interior designer. He earned his diploma from the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1955 (woodcut specialty). Co-author of the ceramic mosaic on the building of the Central Refrigeration Center on Lea Street in Cracow; author of the decorations of such holiday homes as "Rzemieślnik" and "Przyjaźń" in Zakopane). He conducted ceramic workshops for children and young people in the Tatra Cultural Center "Jutrzenka" in Zakopane. He characteristically combined wood with ceramics or canvas.
