Barolo, Piedmont
Comments
Founded in 1921 by Lorenzo Scavino, the estate has over time become one of the leading in Barolo, prized for its quality and innovation. Located in Castiglione Falletto, it is currently managed by Enrca and Elisa, daughters of the recently deceased Enrico Scavino. The family's work focuses on careful vine work and precise winemaking.
The wines combine tradition and modernity, being aged in both large barrels and small barriques. They offer great potential for maturation, but are able to enjoy themselves at a young age. They are expressive, but not lacking in elegance. The best bottles are also characterized by a remarkable depth that even the most famous producers would be proud of.
