Biography
She lives and works in Warsaw. In her painting practice, she focuses on the human figure treated as the “material” of the painting: she is interested in the body as a mystery, timelessness, and the spiritual element; at the same time, she strives for the maximum reduction of artistic means—in her more recent works, figures are often devoid of facial features, and bodies remain conventional and ambiguous. She understands painting as a process based on intuition and reflection; she avoids emphasis and excessive intellectualization, does not work in series, experiments with technique and tools, and leaves meanings open, constructing the painting as a space for collaboration with the viewer’s imagination.
