Anna SANDECKA-LĄKOCY (b. 1970), Bay of Dreams, 2025

mixed technique (acrylic, schlagmetal), canvas, 60 x 80 cm, signed p.d.: Sandecka-Ląkocy

Graduate of the Faculty of Arts at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (Graphics, Sculpture) and NKJO in Puławy (English Philology) under the U.W. She runs the Author's Gallery in Puławy and teaches at a private school. She has worked for several years with educational publishing houses including WSiP, PWN in illustration and preparing books for printing.
She paints mainly with oil and acrylic paints using spatula or brush. She looks for subjects mainly in nature. Spring and summer meadows, those blooming and full of color, but also autumn, when shades of gray begin to intermingle in reds, reds and browns. The picturesque landscape, the plants in their environment become a stimulus to create and immortalize their appearance, but also to proclaim deeper meanings, such as those related to the theme of vanitas - transience. Sometimes the subject of the works becomes a person...nude or portrait, but also animals, birds, butterflies. The artist's paintings have found their place in private collections at home and abroad.
