Promotional placard. An object of this type, produced for marketing promotion in the showcases of studio cinemas, film rental shop windows and points of sale.
The composition of the placard abandons the traditional, painterly form of the Polish poster school in favor of Western, commercial minimalism. The visual axis is the iconic worldwide promotional photo with actress Sylvia Kristel in the famous wicker chair, by the film's director, Just Jaeckin. The object is an interesting and rare souvenir on the auction market from the period of transition and the blossoming of the modern film distribution market in Poland.
