Infantry Training Center (CWPiech.) - infantry training center of the Polish Army of the Second Republic.
The center functioned from 1931 to 1939, and was formed as a result of a merger of the Experimental Training Center existing since 1923 in Rembertów (commandant from 1929 to 1930 was Colonel Wladyslaw Dragat, infantry) and the Central Rifle School functioning in Torun since 1922.
In the interwar period it was the main center for training officers of all types of troops in infantry tactics, at the level of higher military studies. It prepared officers to take command positions from companies up to and including regiments. Candidates for officers of other weapons were also trained (so-called unitarian training), as the principle was followed until 1937 that every officer must undergo infantry training. The CWPiech also had preparatory courses for the Higher War College. [wikipedia.pl]
